Reformer or mat — where should you start?

Both are classical Pilates. Here's how they differ, and how to choose your first class.

Mat Pilates uses your own body weight as resistance; the reformer adds a spring-loaded carriage that can both support and challenge you. Neither is 'harder' — they're different tools for the same goal.

If you're brand new, either is a great start. Mat builds the core awareness and breath that underpin everything. The reformer offers feedback and assistance that many beginners find reassuring.

Our advice: try both in your first month. Most clients end up loving the variety — and moving between the two is exactly how a full practice is built.

Your first class is 35 GEL, and you can book it in under a minute.
