Breath is the first exercise
Before a single spring is loaded, we begin with breath. In Pilates it is not a warm-up — it is the first exercise.

Breathing well sets the deep core working before you move. As you exhale, the muscles that wrap and support your spine engage quietly; as you inhale, the ribcage widens rather than the shoulders lifting. That rhythm is what makes each movement feel controlled.
On the reformer and the mat we time breath to movement on purpose. Exhaling through the effort helps you find your centre and protect your lower back, so strength comes from the middle out rather than from gripping and holding.
It sounds simple, and it is — but it takes practice. In a small group your instructor can watch how you breathe and help you connect it to the pelvic floor and deep abdominals, which is where every other exercise begins.
Come and feel the difference a single breath can make. Your first class is 35 GEL, and you can book it in under a minute.
